Family photo session. How to look better on photographs | Piscataway, NJ

Everyone has a different figure. Some people are skinny, some are not. Some people are tall and some are shorter. And that’s good, because everyone is unique. But sometimes when we talk about photography, most of us wonder how do we look better in photos. And I have a little advice for you.

Family photo session. How to look better

So, here we go. How to look better on photographs:

#1 Do you want to avoid a double chin? So, stick your chin out: you need to slightly jut your chin out to give your jaw a more defined look. Or you can put your tongue on the roof of your mouth. It let ti tighten your facial muscles.

#2 I suggest you wear solid clothes colors or clothe with a couple vertical lines and avoiding bold patterns. It will create clean lines which will elongate your body and make you look skinnier.

#3 How to hold your body: parts that you want to appear smaller (such as your butt), move them away from the camera (or back), and what you want to enlarge (bust or shoulders), move towards the camera.

#4 How to place your arms: you should never place your arms at your sides in photos. If you’re doing it, it makes your shoulders and torso look wider. Instead, you can put your hand on waist, by your hair or hold them a little back, so they are not pressed the sides of your body.

#5 If you want to look slimmer I suggest you avoid wearing bulky clothing, because it can make you look heavier and bigger than you actually are.

#6 Don’t slouch. To elongate your figure and make your torso and legs look thinner, it would be better stand and sit strait.

#7 If you are sitting down, cross your ankles. It will make your legs look thinner.

#8 Pose at an angle. When you are standing strait toward the camera you look the widest. Put one foot in front of the other and stand at an angle (like an S-shape). Also put your hand on the hip that’s facing the camera and tilt your neck to make it visible.

These are little tricks you can use on a family or portrait photo session, but you need to know that I’ll always help you with posing and during specific situations.
